Mr. Mowry has had the good fortune of living in Penn Township his entire life. With that opportunity comes the obligation to serve his own neighborhood. He was a manager and secretary of the Penn Township Baseball Association. The Township Supervisors appointed him to the Planning Commission for 9 Years. He served as Scoutmaster of Troop 53, Sponsored by Nixon Methodist Church. He is a life member of Middlesex Presbyterian Church, where he has been an elder on the session for over 40 years. As a supervisor, he serves as a vice president of the Butler County Association of Township Officials. On the state level, he is on the rules committee of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors. Mr. Mowry was employed at ARMCO Steel, now Cleveland-Cliffs, for 42 years, retiring as a power engineer in the Power Distribution Department in 2006. He currently lives on Robinson Run Road with his wife, Erma. They have two adult children, Todd and Greta, and three grandchildren.
