Sam Ward has been a resident of Penn Township since 1972 and has been a member of the Penn Township Board of Supervisors since June 1989. He was elected Chairman in January 1994. Sam is a retired Professional Civil Engineer and former Senior Project Manager for several commercial and institutional general construction contractors. Additionally, Sam has served on the Earned Income Tax Committee of the South Butler County School District and the Saxonburg Area Authority Board. He is also on the Cook Forest Easter Sunrise Committee for the annual service held in the Ridge Camp Amphitheater and was elected Secretary in 2016. Sam serves as the Charter Organization Representative for the Penn Township-sponsored BSA Scout Troop/Pack and is an Eagle Scout himself. Sam is dedicated to continually serving his community in the best way possible!
